In a previous blog post I mentioned the Zipline from Spain to Portugal at Alcoutim (the only cross-border Zipline in the world).  In November, I finally got to enjoy this fabulous experience. 

The use of a car makes staying at Drumlin Villa effortless.  You can of course use Taxi/Uber etc. to get to and from the villa, but having your own hire car gives far more freedom.  Recently we've been using a car hire broker called Zest Car Rental to find the best car hire deals at Faro airport.  Previously, we had gone direct with one of the independents at Faro (Drive4Fun), but we've found that Zest often offers more competitive prices.

​Well that was a crazy last 16 months.  We last visited the villa in January 2020, and of course were totally unaware of what was going to unfold with the pandemic.  We know many have suffered enormously over the last months, but looking forward the future looks more positive.

A 50 minute trip down the A22 from Drumlin Villa brings you to the beautiful ressort of Vilamoura.  This area is certainly different from the 'normal' Portuguese ressort towns and definitely worth a visit.
